These projects give me the opportunity to actively generate instead of passively consume. In working with my hands, I find a focused meditation and a reconnection with a deeper self-trust. I hope these pieces inspire you to do the same. To create something, anything, that you can appreciate and find some delight in the effort.
I stumbled into woodworking in 2013, working off of a basement floor covered in sawdust. The happiest of circumstances (including the discovery of hidden crawlspace filled with spare wood) led me to this practice and I have since continued it whenever possible. The motif of the flower has accompanied me throughout my work and as long as it continues to inspire, I expect to explore the many shapes it offers.
Thank you for taking the time to view my work. I hope it leaves you encouraged to find that form and function are in fact the same thing, and to develop your own creative practice.
